Jane is called to a nightclub car park where an undercover policewoman has been shot, and discovers she was trying to obtain incriminating evidence against a drug kingpin - whose henchmen later kidnap him. His only chance of escape lies in playing a psychological game with the dead woman's partner, who appears to have begun to identify with her underworld contacts so closely that she has changed sides and become a criminal.
