Synopsis

There are ugly houses, and then there is Nick and Sonia's house - an appallingly designed afterthought that is essentially a flat spread over three dysfunctional car parking spaces. George Clarke charges award-winning architects Abigail Ashton and Andrew Porter with creating something beautiful from this monstrosity. Together the architects have made their reputation by creating extraordinary, innovative homes in the most suburban of settings. But working with a budget of £75k, can they transform this foul flat into a proper home with two floors? And what will the neighbours make of the changes?
