Episode 1 : Doc Martin
Curmudgeonly GP Martin Ellingham's plans to resume his career as a consultant in London are put on hold with the birth of the baby he fathered with his now estranged partner, Louisa Glasson. At the surgery, new GP Dr Di Dibbs is excited to begin work, but Martin begins to have serious doubts about her competency after she misdiagnoses a patient and dishes out prescriptions for totally inappropriate drugs.

Gentle comedy drama. Louisa insists that she does not want Martin involved after he learns of her news, and she is angered by his old-fashioned views. Later, during a routine health check, she learns something shocking about Martin and Edith's past relationship. Martin treats Pauline's aunt and uncle, who are trying unsuccessfully for a baby. Can he uncover the reason behind their problems? Meanwhile, the school's new headmaster is acting rather strangely.

Comedy drama series about a GP who relocates to the sleepy Cornish hamlet of Portwenn. Martin has decided to stay in Portwenn but realises that he will have to make some changes to the way in which the surgery is run. When he refers former teacher Roger for a biopsy, the results bring bad news. Martin fires Elaine for inefficiency - only to find that the entire village shuns him.
Episode 6 : Doc Martin
Comedy-drama series. Martin does not take kindly to the influx of holidaymakers in Portwenn - and his attempts to point out the dangers of sunbathing to one woman does not go over very well. Gossip spreads about Martin's phobia of blood and he becomes the subject of a practical joke in the pub. One of Louisa's pupils has an accident and an ambulance has to be called to take him to Truro for emergency treatment. On the way there, Martin reveals the reason behind his fear.
