The Strawbridge family decide to make the most of the wild larder on their doorstep. Dick's determined to make sloe gin, and has to bring all his ingenuity to bear as they work out how to reach the last of the fat berries that are tantalisingly beyond their grasp. Back in the chateau, the next project, one that's been on Angel's radar since the year they moved in, is creating a library in the pepper pot tower. Dick's trigonometry is tested as he works out how to make a multitude of bespoke curved shelves for the round walls, that will take the weight of the family's thousands of lovingly collected books. Meanwhile, Angel brings the salon ceiling rose back to its former glory. It only had a quick lick of paint when they first moved in, and it's now time to lavish attention on it.
