Synopsis

In Nottingham, three couples compete to host the best dinner party and win the £1000 cash prize. Fun-loving couple Karen and Irena kick off the competition with a no-frills menu of belly-busting comfort food. But their grub receives mixed reviews from married estate agents Clayton and Nina, who also find Irena's uncontrolled belching hard to swallow. The other guests, Lee and Maemae, throw themselves into the balloon bursting entertainment, but take a back seat when Irena takes on Clayton over his rude behaviour. On day two Lee and Maemae cook up an Indonesian menu with a British twist, but their food is labelled slimy by their guests. The group is shocked by the tale of a missing engagement ring and one diner is left open-mouthed when their nearest and dearest calls them a spoilt brat.
